Congratulations to former Master's student, Nahid Babaei for getting a job with Endoceutics in Québec!
We are working to integrate biofilms into a microfluidic-based fuel cell to create natural power sources. We confine the biofilm to one side of the fuel cell by using the barrier created by the co-flowing the anolyte and catholyte together. This project brings together work in biofilm catalysis, microfluidic development, and in situ spectroscopy.
